Pre & Post Care

To ensure the best experience before your appointment:

Eat a meal beforehand to avoid lightheadedness

Stay hydrated

Avoid alcohol or blood thinners (like aspirin) for 24 hours prior

Get a good night’s sleep

Proper aftercare is essential for healing:

Before cleaning your piercing, thoroughly wash your hands.

Spray a piece of non woven gauze with NeilMed Piercing Aftercare and gently hold it around your ear for 5 minutes twice a day.

Gently wipe the front and back of your piercing after soaking your ear in the saline solution to remove any build up.

Immediately dry your piercing with a clean piece of non woven gauze to avoid bacteria from forming.

Avoid sleeping on your piercing.

Avoid swimming in bodies of water until your piercing is healed.

Avoid touching, twisting, or moving your piercing.

After 4-6 weeks come back for a follow up and downsize your piercing.

Do not remove your jewelry before your piercing is healed.
